Popular Mac game/utility developer and publisher
has announced a new promotion for its Snapz Pro screen capture utility. Between now and the 18th, you can register the software for $20, half off the regular price.
The software has won numerous accolades over the years. It has great deal more utility and flexibility than Apple’s built-in screenshot taking tool. You can reconfigure the hotkey used to take screenshots; determine what image format the screenshot will be taken in and what file creator the image will be associated with; you can adjust how the screenshot itself will be taken (entire screen, active window, marquee tool, etc.) and you can even record QuickTime movies of what’s happening on screen.
Snapz Pro is a control panel device, so it’s designed to work with operating system versions prior to Mac OS X. Ambrosia says that it is working on an OS X native version of the software.
More info about Snapz Pro is available from the
Snapz Pro Web site, and you can download a copy to try before you buy.
