The Mac2Mac Project has been created for the development of Mac2Mac, a totally open source software that’s bound to the GNU-GPL license. It’s a remote operating tool, along the lines of Timbuktu or VNC.
“All Macintosh developers of the world are invited to join the project, but we also need graphics, beta testers and people who will write technical documentation,” according to Angelo Scicolone, Mac2Mac project founder, co-coordinator, and Mac OS programmer.
A Mac open source project also means an exchange of experiences and knowledge in the field of the Mac, he added. Mac2Mac is written with REALbasic, so if you want to join the project as a developer you must know the REALbasic environment. It’s also helpful if you have some knowledge of the Mac ToolBox.
The Mac2Mac Project has its own mailing list, and you can join it by sending a blank e-mail. The mailing list is the center of the project, in which project’s members can share opinions, tips, code and more. You can download Mac2Mac latest version with source code online, as well as find out more about the Mac2Mac Project Mailing List.
