Regarding MacHack, “the annual conference for leading edge developers,” there’s good news and bad news. The bad news: all the slots for student developers have been filled. The good news: students who haven’t yet registered can still attend for less than the full conference rate by serving as volunteers.
“MacHack is always in need of volunteers to aid with all aspects of the behind the scenes operation of the conference,” said Carol Lyn of MacHack. “Students specifically are welcome to take advantage of this and gain access to the conference by trading ‘sweat equity’ for conference admission. No meal packages are available for volunteers, but it’s the best way for motivated students to attend this landmark conference.”
To volunteer, or to get more info on volunteering, send an e-mail to volunteers@machack.net. For general conference info, check out the MacHack Web site.
The 16th annual MacHack developer conference will be held in June 21-23 in Dearborn, Mich. Several members of the original Macintosh development team will be keynote speakers.
