The Big Nerd Ranch, a “Cocoa training camp,” will hold a June class on Cocoa in Atlanta, GA.
Cocoa is Apple’s object-oriented software development environment used to program native apps for Mac OS X. It features graphical tools, frameworks, and a predefined application infrastructure that supports rapid development of sophisticated applications.
Normally taught in a lodge outside Asheville, NC, the Big Nerd Ranch class on “Programming OS X with Cocoa” will be offered June 11-15. If you can’t make that one, there’ll be another — in Asheville — July 9-13. The courses will offer five days of instruction, course materials, room and board, and 24-hour computer lab access.
Aaron Hillegass, Big Nerd Ranch instructor and founder, has over seven years of experience consulting and teaching for Apple and NeXT Computer. The Big Nerd Ranch began as a remedy to interruptions in the corporate training environment and specializes in training experienced programmers, he said.
