VMGEAR today announced that its Java technology-based language profiling tool, Optimizeit Profiler 4.0, will be made available for Mac OS X. It’s being demonstrated for the first time this week during the “Java Development Tools” session at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, scheduled for tomorrow, May 23.
VMGEAR CEO Gerard Laurent calls developing support for Mac OS X a great opportunity.
“Using Optimizeit in conjunction with the Mac OS X environment gives developers a true advantage in designing and testing their Java applications in a stunning and virtually crash-proof operating system,” said Laurent.
Likewise, Apple Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations Ron Okamoto lauds OS X’s implementation of Java 2 SE 1.3, calling it “an ideal environment for Java development.”
Optimizeit Profiler has been created to help Java developers resolve performance problems like memory leaks, excessive object allocation, inefficient algorithms and unproductive processor use.
The software will be released later this year, and will include full support for Sun’s Java 2 SE software development kit (SDK). Pricing starts at US$499.
