Waves in Motion, a company that develops FileMaker Pro solutions, has released a beta version of Dragon Web Surveys 6.0, a cross-platform FileMaker Pro Web survey tool that lets users create, publish, and tabulate Internet-based surveys without having a knowledge of Web programming.
Version 6.0 is 300 faster at processing and reporting times with multiple section surveys and conditional branching, according to company spokesperson Jennifer Myronuk. It also uses idle-time processing and idle-time saving. Dragon Web Surveys has an auto-update reports function. The beta also adds multiple section surveys, conditional branching, auto-updating reports, and a tweaked user interface.
“With multi-user support, per-user surveys and security, plus four levels of authentication, Dragon 6.0 is able to handle multiple data collection and reporting functions with ease,” Myronuk said. “Users can either design and host Web surveys locally using FileMaker 5 Unlimited or create and export their surveys for remote hosting through Waves in Motion.”
During the beta testing period, all Dragon Web Surveys remote hosting is free. Dragon Web Surveys 6.0 requires FileMaker 5 Unlimited or higher with a dedicated IP address. If you don’t own FileMaker Unlimited, there’s a run-time version available for remote hosting. For additional information and to download Dragon 6.0, go to the
