AppleVention 2001, sponsored by the AppleSiders, will be held at Northern Kentucky University on Nov. 10. Last year, Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak, was the keynote speaker. Details are still being hammered out for this year’s show.
The AppleSiders of Cincinnati, an Apple user group, have big goals: they want to make their annual, one-day expo, AppleVention “as close to a Macworld Expo as possible.” There are three basic goals for AppleVention 2001:
To raise awareness for Apple. “The Midwest is often overlooked for large venue, convention presentations,” AppleSiders said. “There are many professionals in the Midwest that need Apple’s presence.
To raise awareness for AppleSiders of Cincinnati.
To help the user group’s charitable endeavors.
