The DVD — playable on a regular DVD player or a DVD-equipped Mac — contains all the rendered cinematic sequences from StarCraft and Brood War, the hugely popular real-time strategy game franchise developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. The sequences tell the epic story first revealed to players of StarCraft and Brood War as they made their way through each game. Both games are available for the Macintosh almost wherever computer games are sold.
The DVD contains 36 minutes of digital animation, and also includes DVD extras, like the director’s commentary, original development artwork and never-before-seen storyboards. You’ll also get cinematic trailers for StarCraft, its expansion pack Brood War, and Diablo II — as well as the Diablo II Expansion Set (Lord of Destruction), and Warcraft III, two forthcoming releases that will both be coming to the Mac as well.
The DVD costs US$14.95 and can be ordered directly from Blizzard at the URL above.
