There’s a new version of Apple’s Macintosh Manager software available for download from Apple’s software downloads Web site. The new version is 2.0.1.
Macintosh Manager is Apple’s own workstation management technology — the software provides administrators of Mac networks to centralize their Macintosh configuration management, configuring groups of Macs with the same software access and core user experience.
Apple said that the 2.0.1 version of Macintosh Manager corrects a problem that could cause the workstation to hang while synchronizing files in the backpack folder during checkin.
Macintosh Manager 2.0 requires Mac OS 8 or 9 and AppleShare Client 3.8.7 or 3.8.8 (depending on what version of Mac OS you’re running with).
