Want a chance to check out some new acceleration hardware? PowerLogix says on its Web site that it’s looking for beta testers.
PowerLogix makes a number of processor upgrades for the Macintosh, including the iForce and PowerForce line. The processor upgrades are designed to work in different Macs, including the iMac; some PowerBook G3s; daughtercard-equipped Power Mac systems like the 7300, 7600 and others; and blue and white Power Mac G3s.
The Web page notes that qualified beta testers will need Apple systems built in 2000 or 2001. You’ll need to be in the US, too — PowerLogix said that it can’t accept international address as part of the program.
If you’re interested, drop PowerLogix a line at beta@powerlogix.com. You’ll be contacted if and when PowerLogix needs your help with a particular upgrade.
