Totally Hip Software has released LiveStage Professional 3, the latest version of its QuickTime authoring environment software — and it supports QuickTime 5.
Designed for developers and digital media producers. LiveStage Professional 3 can be used to create interactive QuickTime movies and video for the Internet, CD-ROM, DVD, or anywhere that QuickTime plays. The new version also supports Windows. Sure, we Mac users could care less, but that’s good for Totally Hip as it helps strengthen their position as a provider of broadband video and interactive Web development environments.
QuickTime 5 is a “milestone” in the advancement of QuickTime with its advanced feature set including the ability to support Flash 4, XML, and database communications as well as component downloading allowing for easy and regular updating and deployment of new features, according to David Dicaire, CEO and president of Totally Hip. “LiveStage Professional 3 will enable technology masters in multimedia, broadcast and audio to create, produce and deliver impressive broadband and interactive wired movie content faster than ever in a cross platform environment.”
Its ability to utilize existing media or content created with other popular media authoring tools — including Flash by Macromedia, LiveMotion by Adobe, and the many video production tools available — continue to draw increased exposure and new users, Dicaire added.
