Adobe is sponsoring the Young Creatives Competition at the 2001Cannes International Advertising Festival, an international advertising conference and awards ceremony that will be held July 17-23 in Cannes, France, as part of the 48th Cannes International Advertising Festival.
The festival hosts a series of events to showcase award-winning campaigns encompassing Web, print, and broadcast media. Almost 9,000 folks from across the world attend.
The Cannes International Advertising Festival has hosted the Young Creatives Competition, in which pre-selected teams from 33 countries have 48 hours to create a print advertisement and an accompanying Web site or Web banner for an international nonprofit organization. The created print ads are submitted to the Press & Poster Jury and the Web designs are submitted to the Cyber Lions Jury for selection. The winning campaign is then featured in Time magazine.
Not surprisingly, Adobe products — such as InDesign, GoLive, Illustrator, LiveMotion, and Photoshop, are being used to produce the ads. Following the event, the Adobe Web site will feature the winning ad campaign from the Cannes Young Creatives Competition and an in-depth profile of the winning team.
