If you’d like to use your Mac OS X-equipped systems to help manage your corporate server backups and mirroring, check out Diasoft Corp. The company today announced FileReplicationPro, a multiplatform mirroring and backup solution for corporate servers. The Java-based software functions on TCP/IP based networks and works with Windows, UNIX, Linux and Mac OS X.
Diasoft CEO Jacob Shalev calls corporate server backup one of the most daunting tasks facing system administrators.
“There is simply no room for error in this procedure. FileReplicationPro guarantees successful replication and supports load balancing and general mirroring of system files. It provides a critical element for corporate disaster efforts”, said Shalev.
Diasoft indicates that FileReplicationPro will function even if the servers are on different LANs or run different operating systems. The software can be configured to automatically schedule backups of multiple servers, and allows for “real-time replications” from multiple to multiple servers.
FileReplicationPro also sports features like Differential File Backup and Compression. The replication itself can be done securely via encrypted TCP/IP packages. It also provides logging and other auditing features.
The software is available in multi-server configurations starting at US$599. Users can also download a free 30-day trial demo version.
