St. Clair Software released a beta update for Default Folder, bringing it to version 3.1.2b1.
The new version fixes a problem with Carbon applications that use non-Carbon plug-in’s or system services (including the AdobePS printer driver); resolved a conflict between Extensions Strip and the Default Folder CSM; and Cmd-up-arrow now correctly moves up from the root level of a hard disk to the Desktop Folder in Navigation Services dialogs.
Default Folder is a control panel that enhances Open and Save dialog boxes and is fully compatible with Mac OS 9, supporting both Standard File and Navigation Services Open and Save dialogs.
The beta version of Default Folder can be downloaded from St. Clair Software’s Web site.
