Those REALbasic updates keep on coming fast and furious. Version 3.2.1 of the object oriented, visual programming environment from REAL Software is now out.
The update further improves Mac OS X font rendering, Carbon resources, and database support. There have also been enhancements to the debugger, Listbox, windows (both floating and full screen). It’s a free update to registered users.
REALbasic 3.2 was released less than a month ago. Among other things it beefed up Mac OS X support.
REALbasic is available for US$149.95 for the Standard Edition and $349.95 for the Professional Edition packages, direct from REAL Software. REAL Software offers academic and volume discounts, as well as license-only options. In addition to US English, REALbasic is available in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Japanese. A special Swedish package is also available.
REALbasic 3.5 is tentatively slated for this summer; REALbasic 4.0 has an estimated arrival date early in 2002. Traditionally, REAL Software’s upgrade pricing has been half of the full price.
