Axcess has announced a free Mac OS X upgrade to iAccounting, its custom accounting and e-commerce client/server software.
Based on the 4th Dimension RAD/RDBMS Environment this Mac/Windows solution addresses the changing accounting needs of a growing business, according to Gordon Driver of Axcess. iAccounting can be customized to duplicate forms, reports, and paper trail of a business so that employees will already be familiar with the software, he told MacCentral. Plus, e-commerce services have now been integrated to simplify Web-based order entry and accounting.
Customers who purchased the Axcess iAccounting as of June 1 will receive a free upgrade with the release of the Mac OS X native version of 4th Dimension.
“We are excited about the UNIX architecture of Apple’s new operating system,” Driver said. “Businesses now have a platform that is extremely friendly to them. 4D has made it easy for Axcess to make the change to Mac OS X.”
Axcess has been developing custom accounting and executive information systems for 14 years. The client base includes the aerospace, manufacturing, financial, educational, film and television industries. There’s no Web site. for more info e-mail ’em or call (805) 381-0088.
