Yours Truly will be heading down to Chicago to cover NECC 2001 later this month. If you’re going to be demonstrating Mac compatible goodies, announcing new products, or otherwise making announcements of interest to the Mac community, we should meet. If you’d like to meet with a MacCentral representative (me), drop me a line.
NECC is a three-day (June 25-27) conference, with pre-conference workshop on June 23-24 in Chicago, IL. The focus is to educate and inform educators on developments in computing and technology for the classroom. Last year over 13,000 educators — classroom teachers, school administrators, technology coordinators, media specialists, higher education professionals — attended. This year more than 400 hardware and software vendors have committed to demonstrating their education solutions.
Apple is expected to have a big presence at the show. And CEO Steve Jobs will be the opening keynote speaker on Monday, June 25, at the McCormick Place Convention Center.
