Xirlink Inc. today announced the launch of its Veo line of digital cameras. The company has previously developed digital imaging products for the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) market, but this is its foray into the retail market.
Xirlink explained that the Veo line’s goal is to bring easy-to-use digital imaging products to the general public. Although its initial product, the Stingray, a USB-tethered Webcam — is listed as only PC-compatible, Xirlink said that Veo products will ultimately support both Mac OS and Windows. Xirlink plans to expand the Veo line with additional products as well.
Xirlink CEO Patrick Lin said that his company expects to see continued growth in the PC camera market for years to come.
“With the introduction of Veo branded easy-to-use digital cameras, Xirlink is well positioned to capture a large share of this dynamic market,” said Lin.
