Monkeybread Software, which specializes in Mac utilities (and is expanding to include games and other types of software) has released 13 new REALbasic plug-ins.
REALbasic is the development environment from
REAL Software. According to Monkeybread President Matt Ronge, the plug-ins include:
Resolution Plug-in, which lets you get and set resolutions for all attached monitors. It also supports gamma fading, which is useful in games. This version works on all Mac OS platforms (68K, PowerPC and Carbon) and Win32 (Windows 95+); CPU Info Plug-in, which returns information on the CPU; Encryption Plug-in, a — you guessed it — simple encryption plugin; Folderitem Icon Plug-in, which lets you access folder, file, and disk icons; GetAppearanceFont Plug-in, which lets you call up the font settings of the Appearance Manager; GetOSVersion Plug-in, which lets you retrieve the version of your operating system; GetSpecialFolder Plug-in, which lets you get folder items for special folders, such as the Documents or Applications folders; GetSystemFont Plug-in, which lets you get the system font’s name; Presskey Plug-in, which offers fake key presses (in other words, it makes the operating system think you are pressing keys on the keyboard); RAM Info Plug-in, which returns information on the RAM in your system; Debugger Plug-in, which summons the debugger and can also return information about it; Applicationfile Plug-in, which returns a folder item to the application; Folderitem Equal Plug-in, which compares two folder items. You can learn more about the plug-ins and download them at the
Monkeybread Software Web site.
