Alsoft — the folks behind DiskWarrior, DiskExpress Pro, MasterJuggler Pro, PlugOptimizer, PlusMaker, and PlusMaximizer — is getting back up to speed after some temporary, weather related inconveniences. Mainly, they were shut down due to a flood.
“As you may have heard, the weekend of June 9 brought record flooding to Houston,” Joe Muscara, from Alsoft’s said. ” While all Alsoft employees are fine, Alsoft’s offices were flooded. This caused us to cease operations during the clean up. We have now resumed normal business.”
Technical support is completely back up and running, answering both phone calls and e-mails, he said. The sales department is taking calls and answering e-mails, and has resumed shipping product. However, the interruption of services has caused a larger than normal backlog that they’re currently working to resolve.
“We thank all of our customers for their patience and their concern during this time,” Muscara said.
Their servers for e-mail and online ordering are located at another site and were briefly affected by utility outages during the storm. Some orders placed at the time of the storm weren’t successful.
“We’re asking our customers who unsuccessfully attempted to place online orders during the June 9 weekend to return to the order page and try again.”
