P & L Software Ltd. today announced the release of Mesa 3, the first commercially available spreadsheet application for Mac OS X developed using Cocoa.
“If you want more power than the AppleWorks spreadsheet, and don’t want or need Excel, Mesa is the spreadsheet for you,” said P & L Software.
Mesa 3 is the first Mac OS X-compatible version of the software to ship, but P & L Software’s background is in application developed for NeXTStep and OpenStep, the predecessors to Mac OS X.
According to P & L Software, features in Mesa 3 include:
Mesa is available for US$129. An educational discount is also available ($50), as is a 30-day evaluation license and a site license. Upgrades are also available for Mesa 2 users. A demo version is available for download with full functionality but is restricted to a maximum sheet size of 20 x 20.
