Storage peripheral maker Iomega Corp. has a new 100MB Zip drive that it will be showing off at this week’s PC Expo trade show. The company said the new Zip drive is about half the size as the previous model and runs off a single USB cable for both data and power.
The new Zip drive also ships with Iomega’s QuikSync automatic backup software, and other software to help simplify the copying large collections of files like digital audio, digital photos and more.
Iomega said the new drive works on Mac OS 8.5.1 through Mac OS X. Expected to be released in August, the new Zip 100MB USB Powered drive is going to be released worldwide. The suggested retail price is US$99.95.
