MARGI Systems Inc. today announced that its Presenter-to-Go presentation module is Macintosh compatible. The upgraded software is now available for download to registered MARGI customers by visiting the Presenter-to-Go Web site.
Presenter-to-Go is a Springboard expansion module for the Visor — the Palm OS-based PDA from Handspring. With Presenter-to-Go, users can create Microsoft PowerPoint slideshow presentations on their Mac, compress them and upload them to their Visor during the HotSync process. The Springboard expansion module then enables users to display that slideshow content on a digital projector or VGA display, making it possible to do a presentation using 1024×768 color graphics without needing to have a laptop computer.
Calling the new software “a perfect fit for the education market,” MARGI COO Greg Springer suggested that his company is hoping to build a new market for the Presenter-to-Go, which up until now has been used in the corporate realm.
In related news, MARGI announced the release of the MARGI Mirror application, which enables the contents of the Visor’s own LCD panel to be displayed on a digital projector or VGA monitor. That software can also be downloaded from the Presenter-to-Go Web site, at the URL above.
Presenter-to-Go is available for US$299. Visit the Web site for more info.
