Schepp Turner Productions is demoing a Web-based trial version of Classroom Planner, their classroom productivity and management suite, at this week’s National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) in Chicago.
Classroom Planner offers educators an integrated collection of electronic classroom tools that include a grade book and lesson planner. The tools are available as a single user CD-ROM, school wide network version and as a Web-based version. Parents, students, teachers and administrators can access it from school or at home.
“As a life-long educator, I understand the challenges teachers face every day,” Sharon Schepp co-founder and president of Schepp Turner said. “My goal in creating Classroom Planner was to offer an easy-to-use tool for teachers to make better use of their time and more effectively manage their classrooms.”
Classroom Planner is available as a subscription based Web-enabled application though Schepp Turner Productions’ partners VIP Tone and Learningstation.com. The Web version eliminates the need for educators to install and run software and makes the product accessible from any computer on the Internet, Schepp said.
The online version of Classroom Planner can also be purchased by a school or school district to use on their own servers. The network and Web versions offer the added benefit of allowing controlled access to parents and students to enhance communication and accountability, according to Schepp.
