USAtoday.com, the American Association of Advertising Agencies and The History Channel have teamed up to let Internet users vote for their favorite TV commercials. Apple’s 1984 ad is among those on the list.
The votes are being collected for a special to air on The History Channel on Friday, February 8, 2002 at 10 PM. The documentary will examine how these TV ads were developed and produced.
The 22 ads being considered include such classics as the “Where’s the Beef?” ad for Wendy’s, Energizer’s “Nasatene” ad featuring the Energizer Bunny, Monster.com’s “When I Grow Up,” Budweiser’s “Talking Frogs,” Coca-Cola’s “Mean Joe Greene” and many others.
