Hsoi’s Shop has released six Contextual Menu plug-ins for the Mac OS. Three of the plug-ins are updates to their existing line, and the remaining three are new releases, according to MacTech magazine.
LockItCMPlugin and UnlockItCMPlugin, two separate Contextual Menu (CM) plug-ins, are the new ones. The former is for locking files, the latter for unlocking them. Separating the functionality into two plug-ins enables users greater choice and flexibility in obtaining the level of functionality they desire, according to John C. Daub of Hsoi’s Shop. The third new plug-in is MROItCMPlugin, a CMPlugin to set the “modify-read-only” (MRO) flag of a “ckid” resource. It’s a tool for developers.
Updated plug-ins are: DeskPicChangerCMPlugin (which supports resolution of alias files), FileHierToClipCMPlugin (which beefs up support for large hierarchies), and FilePathToClipCMPlugin (a “sync” release). All the plug-ins are free. And the full source code for all is freely available for download at Hsoi’s Shop Web site.
