Contrary to other published reports, Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ Macworld New York keynote will be broadcast via satellite and QuickTime streaming, Apple announced today. The Apple leader will give his keynote on Wednesday, July 18, 9:00 a.m. (Eastern) at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.

Apple will also provide live streaming of the keynote via QuickTime. The live Webcast will take place online at the company’s keynote Web page. The QuickTime player is available free for Macintosh and Windows users at the QuickTime Web site.
