Monkeybread Software Germany has released its postal and bank code search application, PLZ-Suche 1.0, for both the traditional Mac operating system (Mac OS 8.6 and up) and Mac OS X.
The German localized application lets you use a “comfortable search mask” to find any postal and bank code in Germany, Austria and Switzerland according to Christian Schmitz of Monkeybread. The database includes over 21,000 German bank codes; over 40,000 German postal codes; 250,000 street names; over 4,000 Swiss bank codes; over 4,000 Swiss postal codes; over 5,000 Austrian bank codes; and over 2,000 Austrian postal codes.
A demo version, restricted to Hamburg, is available at the product Web site. This application is distributed by Arktis and should be available at all Mac retailers in Germany soon.
“There will be updates available every three months, and every CD will include an order paper so you can order the current update at any time,” Schmitz said. “PLZ-Suche was developed using Realbasic 3.2.1 and uses the database engine Valentina.”
