If you need a commercial-grade multifunction printer/copier for your office, Pitney Bowes Office Systems today introduced the DL200. The networkable device prints 21 pages-per-minute, scans, copies and faxes.
Pitney Bowes said that the DL200’s combination of capabilities eliminates redundant systems and helps offices save money on consumables and maintenance agreements. The device utilizes a single imaging cartridge and add-in toner. The DL200 is based on the same copier design utilized by the DL260 and DL360 models.
The DL200 utilizes a Connex print controller, which supports various flavors of Windows, UNIX, Mac OS and other platforms. The device offers the ability to scan and distribute hard documents as e-mail or store them as PDF or TIFF files. Documents can also be scanned and delivered to the URL of an FTP server on the network, as well.
The DL200 sports walk-up fax capabilities, as well. It includes a 33.6 Kbps modem and supports JBIG data compression, which Pitney Bowes claims can output faxes at up to 2.8 seconds per page. The system can also be configured with an optional second modem line for simultaneously inbound and outbound faxing.
The DL200 carries a list price of US$4,100. More details are available via Pitney Bowes’ Web site and via their sales offices at 800.290.7860.
