FirewireDirect’s RAID Storage/Cluster External System contains locking hard drive bays that users can slide drives in and out of. The system is equipped with visual indicator lights to inform users when the drives are on and responding properly. All its systems come pre-configured in dual-channel two, four and eight-drive clusters, with sizes up to multiple terabytes (TB) of storage capacity. It also offers custom setups.
FirewireDirect claims that the RAID system is suited for digital video capture and imaging. The system has been tested with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and other DV software, according to FirewireDirect.
