GameRanger Technologies president Scott Kevill has announced full Mac OS X support for GameRanger. The new version of the online multiplayer gaming service for the Mac will debut by the end of August.
GameRanger enables Mac users to chat with each other online, join and host games. The service also provides tracking abilities for a wide variety of popular cross-platform games, like Quake and Unreal. GameRanger features support for more than 80 game titles, including popular commercial releases like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, Rogue Spear, Risk II and other forthcoming titles, including Baldur’s Gate II and Vampire: The Masquerade — Redemption.
GameRanger has been updated to take advantage of Mac OS X with support for the Aqua interface and a new design that includes a visual game list and resizeable sections. The service will also simultaneously support Mac OS 8 and 9, as it does now.
GameRanger is presently available for Mac OS 8 and 9 and it can be downloaded and used at no cost by visiting the GameRanger Web site.
