Eovia has released a new version of its Amapi 3D application. The new version, 6.1, is available as a free download from the Eovia Web site. The new version now supports Macromedia’s Flash and Shockwave3D technology.
Amapi 3D has been developed to enable graphic artists, designers and multimedia producers to create 3D models. The software supports functions like polymesh surface distortion, keyframe NURBS and much more.
In addition to the new Shockwave3D and Flash, Amapi 3D 6.1 also supports the ability to publish content using its own 3Space web 3D format, which provides the ability to create behavior normally found in 3D game engines, like animated particle effects, explosions, gravity and collisions. Eovia noted that Amapi 3D 6.1 also features some bug fixes.
The software is available for Mac OS and Windows, and carries a suggested retail price of US$399. Sidegrades are available for owners of Carrara, Carrara Studio, Ray Dream and Infini-D, for $199. Visit the download page to get the 6.1 upgrade now.
