Roxio has taken the wraps off of a Mac OS X-compatible version of Toast 5 Titanium, its flagship CD mastering application for the Macintosh. Customers who now own Toast 5 Titanium can download the beta version from the Roxio Web site.
The company noted that Toast 5 Titanium is not fully functional yet, but the public beta version will enable users to record audio CDs and burn data to CDs or DVDs. The preview expires after 90 days, and Roxio said that it’s committed to making further optimizations to Toast 5 Titanium for Mac OS X.
Roxio president and CEO Chris Gorog said that Toast 5 Titanium is the first software app for Mac OS X that will let users burn data to CDs and DVDs.
“Roxio is committed to the Macintosh community and continues to enhance their product offering to meet the demands of their customers for robust CD recording,” said Gorog.
The public beta is ready for download from the Toast beta Web page.
