Ricoh has unveiled the Aficio 1105, a high-end, high-volume digital imaging system built off its Aficio 1050 line. The company said that the Aficio 1105 is aimed at the walk-up, print for pay and central reprographics department markets.
The Aficio 1105 sports an automatic reversing document feeder with batch feed capabilities, a document server/editor which enables users to scan documents directly into the system’s memory to be later merged with output files, and support for multiple front end enablers, including the Peerless Type 850 Controller, Fiery EB-105e and the Ricoh MicroPress.
The Aficio 1105 is a dry process, dual component printer that sports a 4 channel CCD array reading element. It incorporates 96MB of RAM and 20.4GB of hard disk storage capacity, and measures 87.3 inches wide by 28.9 inches deep by 58.1 inches high, weighing just shy of 865 pounds. It produces copies at 600 by 600 dots per inch. It produces 105 copies per minute.
The unit has also been designed to work with the SR810 Finisher, which provides multi-position stapling and hole punching. Other options include the RT42 large capacity tray, the CD-R/RW Drive Type 850, the SR85 Bookletmaker, and more.
The printer comes with Fiery FreeForm, Fiery WebTools, WebSetup, Configure, Print Status, Web Spooler, Fiery Downloader and Fiery Print Drivers for Macintosh and Windows
The suggested retail price of the Aficio 1105 System is US$59,500.
