Kanzu Utilities has announced the release of QXP PhotoBook 3.0, a standalone utility designed to work with QuarkXPress.
QXP PhotoBook is a drag-and-drop application that assists QuarkXPress users with the compilation of image catalogs. The catalogs themselves are comprised of any image format accepted by QuarkXpress, including PDF and GIF. The software also supports formats not natively supported by QuarkXPRess, like Adobe Photoshop files (QXP PhotoBook saves PICT previews of images and also uses third party XTensions). QXP PhotoBook saves its catalog files in QuarkXPress document format. Uses for the software include the ability to print thumbnail catalogs of images contained in a folder, or building catalogs of CD image libraries.

QXP PhotoBook 3.0 is available as a downloadable demo from Kanzu’s Web site. It costs US$15 to register. The software requires any Mac that runs QuarkXpress 3.32, 4.04 or 4.1.
