Bare Bones Software is offering a “Back-to-School” special on its popular Mac text editing software, BBEdit. The deal nets buyers a savings of $30 off the regular price and includes a free Web design guide, too.
For a limited time, users can grab a copy of BBEdit direct from Bare Bones for US$89, and score a copy of “Learning Web Design: A Beginner’s Guide to HTML, Graphics, and Beyond,” published by O’Reilly & Associates. BBEdit normally retails for $119 and the book costs $34.95.
BBEdit is offered as a general-purpose text editor developed specifically for Web authors and software developers. The app offers advanced editing, searching, transformation and manipulation capabilities for text files.
Bare Bones Software noted also that customers could purchase site licenses from 10 to 50 users. Site licenses begin at $65 per user. Site licenses purchased during the “Back-to-School” special offer period will also get the “Learning Web Design” book.
The “Back-to-School” special runs now through September 30, 2001.
