KanguruPortable drive jumps to 100GB

Interactive Media Corp. today announced the release of a new 100GB drive that supports multiple connections to Macs or PCs. The new drive is part of the company’s KanguruPortable line of drives. By swapping the cable, users can make the KanguruPortable drive work via USB, FireWire, CardBus or Parallel interfaces.

Interactive Media Corp. produces 3.5-inch KanguruPortable drives in capacities of 30, 40, 60, 80 and now 100GB. Prices range for US$199.95 to $529.95 depending on capacity. Users select the drive interface cable kit they want to use when first buying the drive; if they want to use other interfaces on different computers, they can purchase those as well.

In addition to the KanguruPortable series, Interactive Media Corp. also makes CD-RW drives, “hybrid” internal/external hard drives, MP3 players and more.
