The DrivePak is a small, external hard drive molded in translucent gray plastic that’s complementary to recent Mac models. The storage devices utilize 2.5-inch IDE hard drives bridged to USB in 6, 10, 20, and 30GB capacities. DrivePaks operate at speeds up to 1.5MB/sec. The DrivePak requires no external power supply — it draws its power from the USB itself.
DrivePaks come with a three-year warranty and ships with a USB cable, driver CD, Retrospect Express backup software and a carrying case. Prices start at US$199.95. Look for them from retail outlets and online resellers.
