X2max Software has released xmCHART 2.0, a cross-platform charting plug-in for FileMaker Pro. It supports all basic chart types such as bars, lines, areas, scatters, pies, bubbles, high-Lows or Gantt charts.
Version 2.0 offers multiple-chart layout; combination/overlay graphs; two y-axis graphs; improved bar, Gantt, pie charts; box and whisker plots; candlestick charts; histograms and frequency polygons; polar and radar graphs; drop a reference lines; error bars; curve fitting; moving average; enhanced labeling options; improved scaling options; improved printing quality; a set of general drawing functions; and more.
A set of over 140 functions lets users customize almost every part of a chart such as scalings, axes or grids. To perfect a chart you can add a title, legend, labels or a background picture. The new version has been completely redesigned and is considerably more extensive than the previous version, according to MacTech magazine.
All registered users of xmCHART 1.0/1.5 will receive xmCHART 2.0 for free. Prices are US$99 for a single user. xmCHART 2.0 runs under FileMaker Pro 4.0/5.0/5.5, but isn’t Mac OS X native yet. A Carbonized version for Mac OS X will be available in fall and will be free for all registered users of xmCHART 2.0.
