See Jane Code has released JaneBUILDER 1.0 for PHP and MySQL. The software is available for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. With JaneBUILDER, you can code PHP-embedded Web pages.
JaneBUILDER is a visual editor for PHP. The software isn’t designed to replace the text editor or Web page building application that you currently use — instead, it’s designed to complement them, providing a specific environment where you can create PHP code for use on your site. PHP itself is a server-side, cross-platform HTML embedded scripting language that enables Web developers to create dynamic Web pages. It’s been distributed as open source.
If you’re familiar with previous public releases of JaneBUILDER, See Jane Code reported that this version is sports myriad improvements. The company added many features requested by testers after PR2’s release like UNIX line feed support, new PHP compliant tags, bug fixes, more menu shortcuts, an improved file saving scheme, and cosmetic changes.
JaneBUILDER costs US$49. A demonstration version can be downloaded from the company’s Web site. System requirements call for Mac OS 9 – X and access to PHP and MySQL servers.
