Rage Software and DerazSoft have updated WebDesign, their Mac HTML editor, to version 1.1. The update contains a number of enhancements and improvements over the first version, according to MacTech magazine.
WebDesign now includes a spell checker, an improved interface, more HTML tools, auto indenting options and enhancements to the text editor. Version 1.1 also features improved speed for syntax coloring, syntax checking, application launch time and HTML code generation for the built in HTML wizards.
Aside from all the new features, WebDesign also includes over 30 bug fixes and minor improvements. Version 1.1 is now also available for Mac OS X, as well as Mac OS 8.5 through Mac OS 9. New plug-ins are also available with the download.
This version is a free upgrade to registered users. Otherwise, WebDesign 1.1 costs US$29.95 for a single user, $399.95 for a site license ($299.95 for academic), and $799.95 for a worldwide license ($699.95 for academic). WebDesign can be purchase through Rage Software’s online store and downloaded from the Rage Software Web site or the DerazSoft Web site.
WebDesign lets user download a Web site right from the Internet. It also offers the ability to condense text, create image maps and other HTML components visually. WebDesign’s properties window can be used to edit tag attributes and browse local and remote volumes while editing Web pages.
The HTML editor sports a drag & drop tools palette, customizable tool bar, advanced syntax coloring, and the ability to upload and download files right from your FTP server. You can also use the app to translate Web pages into multiple languages.
