Version 4.0 of Black & Bleu and Black & Bleu PRO are available immediately from Bleu Rose. They’re 1.3MB files.
Black & Bleu is an application that offers a collection (over 5,000) of Mac OS error codes and includes a detailed analysis and suggestions for dealing with many of these errors. The Pro version provides the same features as the standard version but lets you export detailed explanations to a file. This feature allows technical Professionals to pass the information on to others, according to MacTech magazine.
Version 4 offers 307 new error codes for a total of 5,352 codes; seven more error categories (for a total of 192); PostScript errors and explanations for all of them; and more error code explanations. All of the Sad Mac error codes may now be displayed as a list. And Black & Bleu is now Carbonized for Mac OS X. Several visual changes have been made and some bugs squished.
Black & Bleu Pro is embedded in Black & Bleu. If you buy the Pro version, your license key will convert Black & Bleu to Black & Bleu Pro automatically. The price for the standard version is US$29.00 for electronic delivery and $41 for the CD-ROM version. Pro prices are $129 for the electronic version and $141 for the CD-ROM version. If you own a previous version of Black & Bleu standard you can upgrade to version 4.0 for $19.00 for the electronic version and $31.00 for the CD-ROM version. (However, since they’re separate products, you can’t order the Pro version at the upgrade price if you only purchased the standard version.)
