Macromedia has made available its Macromedia Flash Jump Start Kit, a free two-CD training collection with over 150 resources and assets made to help Web designers get started using Macromedia Flash 5. It’s free to anyone who bought Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, Macromedia Flash 5 or any product studio containing either software.
The Macromedia Flash Jump Start Kit contains the MickeyLive! Streaming video training series to introduce users to the basic features of Flash; a CD-based training session that provides a comprehensive overview of the features; 11 customizable Flash templates with guided tutorials created by Girlzilla for creating presentations, advertisements, advanced navigation elements and complete Macromedia Flash sites.
Once users are ready to start creating their own Macromedia Flash content, the kit provides 50 premium images from PhotoDisc by Getty Images; 25 pre-built Flash movies from Bigshot Media; and 80 free sounds from PingPong Music.
A Jump Start Kit Sampler is also available to give a taste of what’s available in the full kit. You can download it online. To receive the free Macromedia Flash Jump Start Kit in English, you’ll have to purchase and register Macromedia Flash 5, Dreamweaver 4 or any of the studio products in which they are offered before Oct. 31. After registering the product online, customers will receive an e-mail that will help them complete the online fulfillment process.
