Writing for Macworld UK, David Fanning reports today that Apple has hired Richard Kerris as director of developer strategies.
Kerris was, up until this summer, director of Maya Technologies at Alias|Wavefront. In fact, he even appeared on stage at this past July’s Macworld Expo keynote address. Even though Kerris had already left Alias|Wavefront at that point, he provided a demonstration of Maya Complete 3 for Mac OS X, a professional 3D graphics and animation package used frequently to produce special effects in films and video games.
In his new gig at Apple, Kerris will report to Ron Okamoto, Apple’s vice president of worldwide developer relations.
