Totally Hip Software has updated LiveStage Pro, its QuickTime 5 interactive authoring environment, to version 3.0.1.
Serial number authentication has been removed from the release by popular demand. Version 3.0.1 adds an auto-indenting option and preference for the script editor, sound controls to the Flash track editor so that flash tracks with sound can have their volume controlled, and sound controls to movie tracks. The update also sees a major speed up of some drawing in the tracks tab when the window is behind other windows. There are other enhancements and bug fixes, as well.
LiveStage Professional 3 can be used to create interactive QuickTime movies and video for the Internet, CD-ROM, DVD, or anywhere that QuickTime plays. Suggested retail pricing for LiveStage Professional 3 is US$899.95. Current registered users of LiveStage Professional 2 can upgrade to version 3 for $199.95 or purchase an additional Windows license for $499.95. Pricing discounts for educational and multiple user licenses are available by contacting Totally Hip.
The 3.0.1 updater (a 459 k file) can be found at the Totally Hip Web site. LiveStage pro 3.0.1 runs under Mac OS 8.6 to Mac OS X.
