TECSoft is offering a new “Workflow Automation with AppleScript” training CD that promises to let users learn AppleScript and how to create software automation. The interactive training CD is US$99 and comes with a 15-day money back satisfaction guarantee.
For those who want more hands-on training, TECSoft also offers classes in AppleScript fundamentals. A two-day “Workflow Automation with AppleScript” class covers AppleScript basics along with scripting FileMaker Pro, Canto Cumulus and QuarkXPress. An optional third day emphasizes more in-depth learning and advanced AppleScript techniques, and covers scripting the Finder.
The classes teach how to use commands, objects, dictionaries, variables, conditional statements, repeat loops, tell statements, the object model, elements, properties, subroutines and more; how to script applications; and how to use AppleScript to join applications together to create software automation solutions.
Participants receive a Participant Kit with the course Participant Guide, and the Participant CD that contains all of the applications, files and demos seen and used in the course. The Participant Kit also includes Danny Goodman’s “AppleScript Handbook: Second Edition” and ISO Productions’ “The Everything CD for Macintosh Scripting.”
