Intuit today confirmed that the latest version of its personal financial management application, Quicken 2002 Deluxe, is shipping. The new version of the software was announced at this past July’s Macworld Expo in New York. Users should expect to see copies on retail store shelves by the end of next week.
Intuit PR manager for desktop products Chris Repetto confirmed the news with MacCentral.
“Customers who pre-ordered the software have received notification that their packages are on the way,” said Repetto. “The software is making its way through distributors now; we’re expecting it to be available on store shelves within seven to ten days.”
Quicken 2002 Deluxe for Mac sports native support for Mac OS X. The software remains compatible with Mac OS 9.0.4 or later, as well. The new version also features improved navigational elements and user interface, timesaving features that streamline the process of updating account information and forecasting, and the ability to import brokerage transactions via OFX support.
Quicken 2002 for Mac also gets a new Capital Gains Estimator, which helps users gauge their tax situation year round. You can use the estimator to evaluate the tax implications of selling your stocks and mutual funds before conducting transactions.
Quicken 2002 Deluxe for Mac costs US$59.95. A $20 rebate is available for previous version owners.
