The Radisson South Hotel in Bloomington, MN will be the site of next month’s
Macintosh Home & Business Expo 2001, a one day event scheduled to take place on September 6th. The event is being sponsored by First Tech Computer, a Minneapolis-based Apple Specialist.
The event will feature a keynote address given by Apple senior director of worldwide markets Tony Lee, who demonstrate some new Mac OS X native applications for creative and business professionals. More than 20 free seminars are also being given throughout the day, hosted by representatives of Apple, Adobe, Corel, Alias|Wavefront, First Tech and others. The seminars range in focus from wireless networking to Web page design, digital photography to DVD mastering.
Prize drawings and show specials will be offered, as well — First Tech is even giving away an iBook to one lucky person who registers. A trade show exhibits area will feature vendors including Apple, Adobe, LaCie, Asante, FileMaker, NEC/Mitsubishi, Keyspan, Sorenson Media, Xerox, Alias|Wavefront, and many more.
Best of all, entry to the Macintosh Home & Business Expo 2001 is free. And if you need another excuse to make the trek to Bloomington, don’t forget that it’s also home to the Mall of America, site of Apple’s most recent Apple Store opening. Events run from 9 AM to about 4:30 PM, so why not make a day of it? You can get more details at the First Tech Web site.
