High speed Internet service provider Sprint Broadband Direct and software utility company Symantec Corp. have teamed up to provide new Sprint customers with their choice of Symantec virus protection software, which will be installed when their broadband service is installed. The offer is being made only through the month of August.
New Sprint broadband subscribers can choose among several different Symantec virus and security software applications, including Norton Internet Security, Norton Personal Firewall, or Norton AntiVirus.
Sprint VP Cameron Rejali said that Sprint is providing the tools families need to protect themselves online. “Online security is a growing concern among consumers, and it is especially important in an always-on, broadband environment,” said Rejali.
