Singer-songwriter Cheryl Nye is an Apple fan who loves her iMacs, both of which are 500 MHz models.
“I have one iMac at my American residence and one at my Canadian residence (I’m a Canadian singer-songwriter with a green card),” she told MacCentral. “I use my iMacs for promoting my new CD to radio stations around the world. I use them for answering my e-mail from
my Web site, and for promotions.”
Her new CD, “Without Goodbyes,” is totally written, music and lyrics, by Nye. She graduated from Concordia University with her degree in Music (B.F.A.) and major in Voice. She has had five years of classical and pop voice training and several years of formal music training. Nye has penned almost 200 songs. Her anthem, “Never Give Up On A Dream,” raised money for the Canadian Cancer Research Society.
Nye also does acting and modeling. She’s appeared in four plays and been an extra in such films as “Spearfield’s Daughter,” “Keeping Track,” “Morning Man,” “Cat Squad,” “Bethune; The Making Of A Legend,” and “A Cry In The Night.” Nye was a continuity extra in the Canadian T.V. series “Urban Angel” and has appeared in several commercials. She was a Ralph Lauren fragrance model for Career Model & Talent Management in Nashville, TN, and has done other modeling work.
“My career has been made much easier by having this user-friendly iMac,” Nye said. “I really love them.”
